Just finished watching "Squid game" on Netflix. There are so many thoughts running in my head. Writing all of them will take time.
However today the top one thought is that even though everyone says money isn't everything, but it is definitely one of the topmost thing.
उठो जागो ये वक्त नया है |
थी रात अँधेरी बादल गरजे,
संदिग्ध हुए मन भ्रमित हुए,
तिमिर छटी अब सूरज निकला है |
देखो अब यह सुबह नया है |
यह जहर कहाँ से आया
मानव मन में अँधियारा छाया
सभी थमे और भयवान खड़े हैं
क्या शिव ने हलाहल उगल दिया है ?
मन की पीड़ा न बांटे कोई
मिलते न रिश्ते न नाते कोई
कैसा कारावास पड़ा है
इस बेड़ी को काटे जो ,
वो किशन किधर खड़ा है ?
देव कहाँ और दानव किधर हैं
एक भ्रम अथाह पड़ा है
समुद्र मंथन कैसे हो
सारा उत्साह खंडित हुआ है
क्या शिव ने हलाहल उगल दिया है ?

Recently I read "Tales of Egypt" by Roger Green. It is a 3 part collection of stories of Egyptian Gods, Magic and Adventures.
As is evident that river Niles play a very prominent role in all the stories. Pharaos used to travel in royal boats. Even Sun God (Amen Ra) travels in boat.
When I compare this with Indian context, Ganga is the prominent river in Indian mythology. Yet I haven't read stories of boat/ship travel as main means in Mahabharata and Ramayana. Instead it is horses and chariots. Even Sun god (Surya Deva) travels in a chariot driven by seven horses.
This is definitely interesting and worth thinking about.
